Summerhill (Irish: Cnoc an Línsigh) is a designated heritage village in County Meath, Ireland. It is located at the intersection of the R156 and R158 regional roads and is part of the Laracor civil parish. The Irish version of the town’s name means “Lynch’s Hill”, and it was the ancestral home of the Norman-Irish Lynch family, whence came the Galway merchant family of the same name – one of the “Tribes of Galway”. It is also the site of one of the most important battles in 17th century Ireland, the Battle of Dungan’s Hill. The town was known in English as ‘The Knock’ or ‘Lynchs’ Knock’ (phonetic renderings of Cnoc an Línsigh, Lynchs’ hill) until about 1667 when it was renamed Summerhill. The ruins of the large Lynch castle can be seen in the village today.

Protection of Your Premises and Avoiding a Mess
A professional painter and decorator will have the right gear and be educated and experienced with how to shield furniture, flooring, cupboards, paths and other things which you don’t want painted from any damage. If your work involves staining, an expert will have the correct equipment and expertise to use the stain correctly to achieve the perfect finish and once attained, protect the finish.
A professional painter will even completely clean up the work area once the job is finished.
Planning is Essential
A professional painter and painter will know that preparation is the trick to a great looking, long-lasting paint job. Areas with mold or water staining may require additional treatment and diluting until they are ready for a last paint job. It’s a good deal of work and if it’s not done properly with appropriate instruments and techniques, it will not result in a quality finish.
Skills and Patience
Painting requires patience to produce a gorgeous quality finish and in addition, it takes skill that is developed with training and expertise. A professional will understand how to finish each of their preparation and painting jobs involved to reach the best effect.
A professional painter will also understand the materials that are needed to perform the job right. Which primer will provide the right coverage? Latex or oil? Which primer foundation is required? What paint base? Spray or roller?
A professional painter will be able to recommend materials that are best to achieve the look you need, while preventing any damage to your surfaces. With this information, you can achieve a higher quality finish that will last.
For outdoor tasks, a specialist will understand the ideal weather, temperature and sunlight conditions to complete the job with all the best results. Stains react differently in direct sunshine than when it’s overcast, and at several temperatures. While rain clearly affects the job, humidity and heat may also impact the quality of exterior paint finishes.
Increasing on ladders while attempting to apply paint properly is a skilled job which takes careful attention and focus to avoid severe injury and damage. The greater the site which requires painting, the higher the danger of an accident. For interior projects with high areas or outside jobs, a professional painter may have all the tools and experience necessary to do the job safely and correctly, including the proper dimensions and layout of ladder and scaffolding.
