Ráth Chairn (anglicized as Rathcairn) is a small village and Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking area) in County Meath, Ireland. It is about 55 km northwest of Dublin.
Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht was founded in 1935 when 41 families from Conamara were settled on land previously acquired by the Irish Land Commission. Each family was provided with a Land Commission house and a farm of approximately 8.9 hectares (22 acre), a sow, piglets and basic implements. A further 11 families joined the original settlers in 1935. In all, 443 people moved from Connemara to the Ráth Chairn area. In 1967 Ráth Chairn received official recognition as a Gaeltacht, following a local campaign. Today, it and the nearby village of Baile Ghib make up the Meath Gaeltacht.
A cooperative (the “Ráth Chairn Cooperation Society”) was formed in 1973. Ráth Chairn has since grown into a village with a Catholic church, community hall for dramas, Comharchumann Ráth Chairn and RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta (also used by Coláiste na bhFiann during the summer months), sports facilities, an all-Irish primary and secondary school, a library and a pub (An Bradán Feasa). Several facilities in Ráth Chairn host children and adults wishing to learn Irish, and residential Irish language courses, Coláiste na bhFiann, are run for teenagers in the summer months.

Painting and Decorating Services in Ráth Chairn
Are you considering giving your home or business a fresh look? Do you need to repaint after a tenant has vacated your own property? Do you have to repair water stains on ceilings and walls or over walls where mold was eliminated? It may be tempting to do the job yourself, which may result in cost savings. But, there are many reasons you should consider selecting a professional painter and decorator service.
Costs of Equipment
Hiring a professional painter and decorator usually means that the painter comes with the tools that they will require to do the job properly, will wash up those tools whenever they’re completed and will take them away to be saved elsewhere.
Protection of Your Premises and Avoiding a Mess
A professional painter and decorator will have the right gear and be educated and experienced with how to shield furniture, floors, cupboards, paths and other things that you don’t want painted from any damage. If your work involves staining, a professional will have the right equipment and expertise to apply the stain correctly to achieve the perfect finish and once achieved, shield that finish.
A professional painter will even completely clean the work area when the job is finished.
Planning is Essential
A professional painter and painter will know that preparation is the key to a great looking, long-lasting paint job. The walls or other surfaces which need to be painted might have to be thoroughly cleaned, patched, decreased and/or primed. Areas with water or mold staining may require further therapy and diluting until they are ready for a last paint job. It’s a lot of work and if it’s not done correctly with proper tools and methods, it will not lead to an excellent finish.
Skills and Patience
Painting takes patience to produce a gorgeous excellent finish and it also takes skill that is developed with practice and experience. An expert will understand how to complete all the preparation and painting jobs required to reach the best outcome.
A professional painter may also understand the substances that are required to perform the job right. Which primer will provide the correct coverage? Oil or latex? Matte, semi-gloss, high gloss? Which primer foundation is demanded? What paint base? Should the wall be prepared with drywall compound or plaster? Spray or roller?
A professional painter will have the ability to recommend materials which are better to achieve the look you need, while avoiding any harm to your surfaces. With this information, you can achieve a greater quality finish that will last.
For exterior jobs, a professional will know the right weather, temperature and sun conditions to complete the job with the best outcomes. Stains respond differently in direct sunlight than when it is overcast, and at several temperatures. While rain obviously affects the job, humidity and heat may also impact the quality of outside paint finishes.

Increasing on ladders while attempting to apply paint properly is a skilled job that takes careful focus and attention to avoid serious injury and damage. The higher the site that needs painting, the greater the risk for an accident. For inside projects with high areas or exterior jobs, a professional painter will have all the tools and expertise required to perform the job correctly and safely, including the proper size and layout of the ladder and scaffolding.
Your time is valuable and painting yourself takes a substantial quantity of time. Having a professional painter and decorator deal with the job for you can save you days and days of work, and can normally be done in a much shorter time period.
A study from Trinity College Dublin indicates that the average Irish man needs 28 hours daily to accomplish all of his or her tasks. Prevent adding a paint job to this and talk to a professional painter about your requirements.
