Ráth Chairn (anglicized as Rathcairn) is a small village and Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking area) in County Meath, Ireland. It is about 55 km northwest of Dublin. Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht was founded in 1935 when 41 families from Connemara were settled on land previously acquired by the Irish Land Commission. Each family was provided with a Land Commission house and a farm of approximately 8.9 hectares (22 acres), a sow, piglets and basic implements. A further 11 families joined the original settlers in 1935. In all, 443 people moved from Connemara to the Ráth Chairn area.
In 1967 Ráth Chairn received official recognition as a Gaeltacht, following a local campaign. Today, it and the nearby village of Baile Ghib make up the Meath Gaeltacht. According to the 2016 census 16% of the population of Ráth Chairn and Baile Ghib speak Irish on a daily basis outside the education system.
A cooperative (the “Ráth Chairn Cooperation Society”) was formed in 1973. Ráth Chairn has since grown into a village with a Catholic church, community hall for dramas, Comharchumann Ráth Chairn and RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta (also used by Coláiste na bhFiann during the summer months), sports facilities, an all-Irish primary and secondary school, a library and a pub (An Bradán Feasa). Several facilities in Ráth Chairn host children and adults wishing to learn Irish, and residential Irish language courses, Coláiste na bhFiann, are run for teenagers in the summer months.

Painters and Decorators Services in Ráth Chairn
Are you contemplating giving your home or business a fresh look? Do you need to repair water stains on ceilings and walls or over walls where mold was removed? It may be tempting to do the task yourself, which may result in cost savings. But, there are lots of reasons you should consider selecting a professional painter and decorator support.
Costs of Equipment
Proper painting of either interiors or exteriors requires an investment in gear — brushes, rollers, sprayers, tarp to protect surfaces and floors, ladders, scaffolding, sanders, compound knifes, patching materials, solvents, the listing can quickly become long and pricey. Employing a professional painter and decorator usually means that the painter comes with of the tools that they will require to perform the work properly, will wash those tools up when they are completed and will take them away to be saved elsewhere.
Protection of Your Premises and Preventing a Mess
A professional painter and decorator will have the right equipment and be knowledgeable and experienced with how to shield furniture, flooring, cabinets, walkways and other items which you don’t want painted out of any damage. If your work entails staining, a professional will have the right equipment and expertise to apply the stain properly to achieve the right finish and once achieved, shield the finish.
A professional painter will also thoroughly clean up the work area once the project is completed.
Planning is Essential
An expert painter and painter is going to learn that preparation is the key to a great looking, long lasting paint job. Areas with water or mold staining may require further treatment and diluting until they are prepared for a last paint job. It is a good deal of work and if it is not done properly with appropriate tools and techniques, it won’t lead to a quality finish.
Skills and Patience
Painting requires patience to generate a gorgeous quality finish and it also takes skill that is developed with practice and expertise. An expert will understand how to complete each of their preparation and painting jobs involved to reach the best effect.
A professional painter will also understand the materials that are needed to do the work correctly. Which primer will offer the right coverage? Latex or oil? Which primer foundation is demanded? What paint base? Spray or roller?
A professional painter will be able to recommend materials that are best to get the look you want, while preventing any harm to your surfaces. With that information, you can attain a higher quality finish that will last.
For exterior jobs, a professional will understand the ideal weather, temperature and sunlight conditions to finish the job with all the best outcomes. Stains react differently in direct sunshine than when it’s overcast, and at different temperatures. While rain clearly affects the job, heat and humidity can also impact the quality of exterior paint finishes. A local expert painter will know the right materials to use to produce your exterior last as long as you can in Dublin’s climate.
Climbing on ladders while trying to apply paint properly is a skilled job that takes careful attention and focus to avoid serious injury and harm. The higher the site which needs painting, the higher the danger of an crash. For interior jobs with high areas or exterior jobs, an expert painter will have all the tools and expertise required to do the job safely and correctly, including the proper size and layout of ladder and scaffolding.
Your time is precious and painting yourself takes a substantial quantity of time. Having a professional painter and decorator take care of the work for you can save you days and times of effort, and can normally be done in a far shorter time period.
A study from Trinity College Dublin indicates the average Irish person needs 28 hours per day to accomplish all of his or her tasks. Avoid including a paint job into this and speak to a professional painter about your requirements.
