Laragh (Irish: An Láithreach – meaning “the site, or ruins, of a building”) is a small village in County Wicklow, Ireland. It lies at the junction of three roads (the R115, R755, and R756) through the Wicklow Mountains and is primarily known for its proximity to the monastic settlement of Glendalough. Sally Gap and the Glenmacnass Waterfall are to the north, to the west is Glendalough and the Wicklow Gap, and to the south is the Glenmalure Valley.

The area is wooded, with the hills and mountains rising directly from the valley, and hill walkers, hikers, and other tourists sometimes use the village – given its closeness to Dublin – as their centre for recreational activities in the mountains. About 5 km from the village, on the Rathdrum road, the Clara Lara FunPark covers an area of some 40 ha. Birdwatchers come here to look for the great spotted woodpecker, Ireland’s newest species, which breeds in the area.

Laragh is also sometimes (including on Sunday mornings and lunchtime) used as a meeting and stop-off point for motorcyclists and cyclists following a run over “The Gap” (the R756) before they head on to Rathdrum.

“Laragh” is the name of a fictional sheep station in Western Australia run by the Regan family in Nevil Shute’s novel Beyond the Black Stump.

Painting and Decorating Services in Laragh, County Wicklow

Are you considering giving your home or business a new look? Do you have to repaint after a tenant has vacated your property? Do you need to repair water stains on walls and ceilings or over walls where mold was eliminated? It may be tempting to do the job yourself, which can result in cost savings. But, there are many reasons you should consider selecting a professional painter and decorator service.

Costs of Equipment

Hiring a professional painter and decorator usually means that the painter comes will all of the tools that they will require to perform the work properly, will wash those tools up whenever they are completed and will take them away to be stored elsewhere.

Protection of Your Property and Preventing a Mess

A professional painter and decorator will have the ideal gear and be educated and knowledgeable about the way to protect furniture, flooring, cabinets, walkways and other things that you don’t want painted from any damage. If your job involves staining, a professional will have the right equipment and expertise to use the stain properly to achieve the right finish and once attained, protect that finish.
A professional painter may also thoroughly clean the work area once the project is finished.

Preparation is Key

A professional painter and painter is going to learn that preparation is the key to a great looking, long-lasting paint job. Areas with water or mold staining may require further treatment and diluting until they are ready for a last paint job. It’s a lot of work and if it is not done properly with appropriate tools and techniques, it won’t lead to an excellent finish.

Skills and Patience

Painting takes patience to generate a gorgeous excellent finish and in addition, it takes skill that is developed with training and experience. A professional will understand how to complete all their preparation and painting tasks required to reach the best outcome.
Back in Dublin, there are a number of choices a professional painter and decorator can start to you, which you could not have the skills or expertise to do yourself, including special finishes (intumescent endings (that can be fireproof), faux finishes and textured painting, for instance ).
A professional painter will also understand the materials which are required to do the work right. Which primer will provide the correct coverage? Oil or latex? Which primer foundation is required? What paint base? Spray or roller?
A professional painter will have the ability to recommend materials which are best to get the look you want, while preventing any damage to your surfaces. With that advice, you can attain a greater quality finish that will endure.
For exterior jobs, a specialist will understand the right weather, temperature and sunlight conditions to finish the job with all the best results. Stains respond differently in direct sunshine than when it is overcast, and at different temperatures. While rain clearly affects the job, heat and humidity may also impact the quality of exterior paint finishes.

Security

Climbing on ladders while trying to apply paint properly is a skilled job that requires careful focus and attention to avoid severe harm and harm. The greater the site that requires painting, the greater the danger of an accident. For inside projects with high areas or exterior jobs, a professional painter may have all the resources and experience required to perform the job safely and correctly, including the right size and design of the ladder and scaffolding.

Convenience

Your time is precious and painting yourself takes a significant amount of time. Using a professional painter and decorator deal with the job for you can save you days and days of work, and can normally be done in a far shorter period of time.
A research from Trinity College Dublin indicates the average Irish man requires 28 hours per day to accomplish all of his or her tasks. Avoid adding a paint job to this and talk to a professional painter about your needs.
