Summerhill (Irish: Cnoc an Línsigh) is a designated heritage village in County Meath, Ireland. It is located at the intersection of the R156 and R158 regional roads. The Irish version of the town’s name means “Lynch’s Hill”, and it was the ancestral home of the Norman-Irish Lynch family, whence came the Galway merchant family of the same name – one of the “Tribes of Galway”. It is also the site of one of the most important battles in 17th century Ireland, the Battle of Dungan’s Hill. The town was known in English as ‘The Knock’ or ‘Lynchs’ Knock’ (phonetic renderings of Cnoc an Línsigh, Lynchs’ hill) until about 1667 when it was renamed Summerhill. The ruins of the large Lynch castle can be seen in the village today.
The ancient seat of the Norman-Irish Lynch family had been granted to Bishop Henry Jones for his services provided as Scoutmaster General to Cromwell’s Army. The Rt Rev. Dr Henry Jones, Church of Ireland Lord Bishop of Meath in 1661, sold Summerhill and many other townlands to Sir Hercules Langford.

However, there are lots of reasons you should consider selecting a professional painter and decorator service.
Prices of Equipment
Good painting of either interiors or exteriors necessitates an investment in gear — brushes, rollers, sprayers, tarp to shield surfaces and floors, ladders, scaffolding, sanders, chemical knifes, patching materials, solvents, the listing can quickly become long and expensive. Employing a professional painter and decorator usually means that the painter comes with the tools they will require to perform the job correctly, will clean those tools up whenever they are completed and will require them away to be saved elsewhere.
Protection of Your Premises and Avoiding a Mess
A professional painter and decorator will have the right gear and be educated and knowledgeable about the way to shield furniture, flooring, cupboards, paths and other items that you don’t need painted from any harm. If your job involves staining, an expert will have the right equipment and experience to apply the stain properly to achieve the perfect finish and once achieved, protect the finish.
A professional painter may also thoroughly clean the work area when the job is finished.
Planning is Key
A professional painter and painter will know that preparation is the trick to a good looking, long-lasting paint job. The walls or other surfaces that have to be painted might have to be thoroughly cleaned, patched, degreased and/or primed. Areas with mold or water staining may require additional treatment and patching before they are ready for a final paint job. It is a good deal of work and if it is not done correctly with appropriate instruments and techniques, it will not lead to an excellent finish.
Skills and Patience
Painting takes patience to generate a beautiful excellent finish and in addition, it takes skill that’s developed with practice and expertise. An expert will understand how to complete all their preparation and painting tasks required to achieve the best effect.
A professional painter will also understand the materials that are required to perform the work right. Which primer will provide the right coverage? Oil or latex? Which primer base is required? What paint base? Should the wall be well prepared with drywall compound or plaster? Roller or spray?
A professional painter will have the ability to recommend materials which are better to get the look you want, while preventing any harm to your surfaces. With that advice, you can attain a greater quality finish that will last.
For outdoor tasks, a specialist will know the right weather, temperature and sunlight conditions to complete the job with the best outcomes. Stains respond differently in direct sunshine than when it’s overcast, and at different temperatures. While rain clearly impacts the job, heat and humidity can also affect the quality of outside paint finishes.
Increasing on ladders while trying to apply paint properly is a skilled job that requires careful attention and focus to prevent serious injury and damage.
