Rossnaree (Irish: Ros na Rí, meaning ‘wood of the kings’; Old Irish Ros na Ríg or Ros na Ríogh) is a small village and townland in County Meath, Ireland, on the south bank of the River Boyne. The Brú na Bóinne complex of neolithic monuments is nearby, on the north bank of the Boyne. Rossnaree commands a ford that was used by the Williamites at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. The walls of the mill at Rosnaree once contained a Sheela na Gig, although this has been removed for safekeeping and is in private possession.

The legendary High King of Ireland Cormac mac Airt is reputedly buried at Rossnaree, having refused to be buried at a pagan site across the river after converting to Christianity. In the Ulster Cycle tale Cath Ruis na Ríg (“the Battle of Rosnaree”), it is the site of a battle between Conchobar mac Nessa, king of the Ulaid, and his son-in-law Cairpre Nia Fer, king of Tara, during which the Ulaid hero Cú Chulainn kills Cairpre with a spear thrown from a distance, and then decapitates him before his body hits the ground.

Rossnaree House, a mid-19th century manor house, takes its name from the area in which it is sited. It is suggested by Elizabeth Hickey to be the original location of the House of Cletty (Tech Cleitech), where Cormac mac Airt died after choking on a salmon bone and Muirchertach Macc Ercae reputedly died a threefold death.

Ros na Righ was also the name of a small steam launch which brought day-trippers along the Boyne Navigation in the early 1900s.

The Rosnaree Hotel outside Drogheda was the location of an IPLO-INLA shooting incident in 1987. It is now the Moorehall Lodge nursing home.

Are you contemplating giving your home or business a fresh look? Do you have to repaint after a tenant has vacated your own property? Do you have to repair water stains on ceilings and walls or over walls where mold has been eliminated? It could be tempting to do the job yourself, which can lead to cost savings. But, there are many reasons you should consider selecting a professional painter and decorator support.

Prices of Equipment

Hiring a professional painter and decorator means that the painter comes will all of the tools they will require to perform the work properly, will wash up those tools when they are completed and will take them away to be saved elsewhere.

Protection of Your Premises and Preventing a Mess

A professional painter and decorator will have the right gear and be educated and experienced with how to protect furniture, floors, cabinets, walkways and other items that you don’t want painted from any harm. If your job involves staining, an expert will have the correct equipment and experience to use the stain correctly to attain the right finish and once attained, shield the finish.
A professional painter may also completely clean up the work area once the project is completed.

Planning is Essential

A professional painter and painter will know that preparation is the trick to a great looking, long-lasting paint job. The walls or other surfaces that need to be painted may need to be thoroughly cleaned, repaired, degreased and/or primed. Areas with mold or water staining may require additional treatment and diluting until they are prepared for a last paint job. It is a lot of work and if it’s not done properly with appropriate instruments and methods, it won’t result in an excellent finish.

Skills and Patience

Painting takes patience to generate a gorgeous excellent finish and it also takes skill that’s developed with practice and expertise. An expert will understand how to finish each of the preparation and painting jobs involved to reach the best outcome.
In Dublin, there are a number of options a professional painter and decorator can open to you, that you may not have the skills or expertise to do your self, including special finishes (intumescent endings (which can be fireproof), faux finishes and textured painting, by way of instance ).
A professional painter will also know the materials which are required to perform the work right. Which primer will offer the right coverage? Oil or latex? Matte, semi-gloss, high gloss? Which primer foundation is required? What paint base? Should the wall be well prepared with drywall compound or plaster? Roller or spray?
A professional painter will be able to recommend materials that are best to achieve the look you need, while avoiding any harm to your surfaces. With that advice, you can achieve a greater quality finish that will last.
For exterior jobs, a specialist will understand the right weather, temperature and sun conditions to finish the job with all the best outcomes. Stains respond differently in direct sunshine than when it is overcast, and at several temperatures. While rain clearly impacts the job, heat and humidity may also impact the quality of outside paint finishes.

Security

Increasing on ladders while attempting to apply paint properly is a skilled job that requires careful attention and focus to prevent serious injury and damage. The higher the site that needs painting, the greater the danger of an accident. For interior jobs with high areas or outside jobs, an expert painter will have all the resources and experience necessary to do the work correctly and safely, including the proper dimensions and layout of ladder and scaffolding.

Convenience

Your time is precious and painting yourself requires a substantial quantity of time. Using a professional painter and decorator deal with the job for you can save you days and times of work, and can usually be achieved in a much shorter period of time.
A research from Trinity College Dublin indicates that the average Irish person requires 28 hours per day to accomplish all of his or her tasks. Avoid adding a paint job into this and speak to a professional painter about your needs.
