Mornington (Irish: Baile Uí Mhornáin, meaning “Town of the Mariner”) is a coastal village on the estuary of the River Boyne in County Meath, Ireland approximately 5 km downriver from the centre of Drogheda. Together with the neighbouring villages of Laytown and Bettystown it comprises the census town of Laytown-Bettystown-Mornington, with a combined population of 10,889 at the 2011 Census and 11,872 (along with Donacarney) at the 2016 Census. Mornington is part of the wider area collectively known as East Meath.
The large townland of 1,223 acres (4.95 km2) is bound on the north by the River Boyne estuary and on the east by the Irish Sea. The townland extends along the seashore to Bettystown village and includes part of that village up to and including The Neptune Hotel. The townland, part of the civil parish of Colpe, touches on other townlands: Betaghstown to the south,
Colp East and Colp West to the west and Donacarney Great and
Donacarney Little to the south and west. Stameen lies to the west. Baltray, Beaulieu and Banktown lie across the Boyne.
Mornington can also refer to a larger area, a half-parish, within the Laytown-Mornington Roman Catholic parish established in 1986, and formerly part of the parish of St. Mary’s in Drogheda. Mornington was also a former post office sub-district and used by a wider area for address purposes up to the 1980s.

Spray Painting Services in Mornington, County Meath
Are you considering giving your house or business a fresh look? Do you need to repaint after a tenant has vacated your own property? Do you have to repair water stains on walls and ceilings or over walls where mold was removed? It could be tempting to do the job yourself, which may result in cost savings. But, there are lots of reasons you should consider selecting a professional painter and decorator service.
Prices of Equipment
Good painting of either interiors or exteriors requires an investment in gear — brushes, rollers, sprayers, tarp to shield surfaces and floors, ladders, scaffolding, sanders, chemical knifes, patching materials, solvents, the list can quickly become long and pricey. Hiring a professional painter and decorator means that the painter comes with the tools that they will require to perform the work correctly, will clean up those tools when they are done and will require them away to be saved elsewhere.
Protection of Your Property and Preventing a Mess
A professional painter and decorator will have the ideal gear and be knowledgeable and experienced with the way to shield furniture, floors, cabinets, walkways and other items which you don’t want painted out of any harm. If your job entails staining, an expert will have the correct equipment and expertise to apply the stain properly to achieve the right finish and once achieved, protect the finish.
A professional painter may even completely clean up the work area once the job is completed.
Preparation is Essential
An expert painter and painter will know that preparation is the key to a good looking, long lasting paint job. The walls or other surfaces that have to be painted may have to be thoroughly cleaned, repaired, decreased and/or primed. Areas with mold or water staining may require further therapy and diluting until they are prepared for a final paint job. It’s a lot of work and if it is not done properly with proper instruments and techniques, it won’t lead to a quality finish.
Skills and Patience
Painting takes patience to generate a beautiful quality finish and in addition, it takes skill that is developed with practice and experience. An expert will understand how to finish all the preparation and painting jobs involved to achieve the best outcome.
Back in Dublin, there are a number of options that a professional painter and decorator may open to you, which you could not have the skills or expertise to do your self, including specific finishes (intumescent finishes (that can be fireproof), faux finishes and textured painting, for example).
A professional painter may also understand the substances that are needed to perform the work correctly. Which primer will offer the correct coverage? Latex or oil? Which primer foundation is demanded? What paint base? Roller or spray?
A professional painter will be able to recommend materials that are better to achieve the look you need, while avoiding any harm to your surfaces. With this information, you can achieve a greater quality finish that will last.
For exterior jobs, a professional will know the ideal weather, temperature and sun conditions to finish the job with the best results. Stains respond differently in direct sunlight than when it is overcast, and at different temperatures. While rain clearly affects the job, humidity and heat can also impact the quality of outside paint finishes.

Increasing on ladders while attempting to apply paint properly is a skilled job that takes careful focus and attention to prevent severe injury and harm. The greater the site which needs painting, the greater the risk for an accident. For interior jobs with large areas or exterior jobs, a professional painter may have all the resources and expertise required to do the job safely and correctly, including the right size and design of the ladder and scaffolding.
Your time is precious and painting yourself takes a substantial quantity of time. Having a professional painter and decorator deal with the work for you can save you days and days of work, and can usually be done in a far shorter period of time.
A study from Trinity College Dublin indicates the average Irish man requires 28 hours per day to accomplish all his or her tasks. Prevent adding a paint job to this and speak to a professional painter about your needs.
