Laragh (Irish: An Láithreach – meaning “the site, or ruins, of a building”) is a small village in County Wicklow, Ireland. It lies at the junction of three roads (the R115, R755, and R756) through the Wicklow Mountains and is primarily known for its proximity to the monastic settlement of Glendalough. Sally Gap and the Glenmacnass Waterfall are to the north, to the west is Glendalough and the Wicklow Gap, and to the south is the Glenmalure Valley.

The area is wooded, with the hills and mountains rising directly from the valley, and hill walkers, hikers, and other tourists sometimes use the village – given its closeness to Dublin – as their centre for recreational activities in the mountains. About 5 km from the village, on the Rathdrum road, the Clara Lara fun park covers an area of some 40 ha. Birdwatchers come here to look for the great spotted woodpecker, Ireland’s newest species, which breeds in the area.

Laragh is also sometimes (including on Sunday mornings and lunchtime) used as a meeting and stop-off point for motorcyclists and cyclists following a run over “The Gap” (the R756) before they head on to Rathdrum.

“Laragh” is the name of a fictional sheep station in Western Australia run by the Regan family in Nevil Shute’s novel Beyond the Black Stump.

Are you considering giving your house or business a new look? Do you need to repaint after a tenant has vacated your own property? Do you have to repair water stains on walls and ceilings or over walls where mould has been eliminated? It may be tempting to do the task yourself, which can result in cost savings. But, there are lots of reasons you should consider hiring a professional painter and decorator support.

Prices of Equipment

Hiring a professional painter and decorator means that the painter comes will all the tools they will require to do the work correctly, will clean up those tools whenever they’re done and will require them away to be stored elsewhere.

Protection of Your Premises and Avoiding a Mess

A professional painter and decorator will have the ideal gear and be knowledgeable and knowledgeable about how to protect furniture, floors, cupboards, paths and other items that you don’t want painted out of any damage. If your job entails staining, a professional will have the right equipment and experience to use the stain properly to attain the right finish and once achieved, protect that finish.
A professional painter will even thoroughly clean up the work area once the job is finished.

Planning is Key

A professional painter and painter is going to learn that preparation is the trick to a great looking, long-lasting paint job. The walls or other surfaces which have to be painted might have to be thoroughly cleaned, repaired, decreased and/or primed. Areas with mold or water staining may require further treatment and diluting until they are ready for a last paint job. It is a lot of work and if it is not done properly with appropriate instruments and methods, it will not result in a quality finish.

Skills and Patience

Painting requires patience to produce a beautiful quality finish and in addition, it takes skill that is developed with training and expertise. An expert will understand how to complete all their preparation and painting tasks required to achieve the best effect.
Back in Dublin, there are a number of choices a professional painter and decorator may open to you, that you may not have the skills or expertise to do your self, including special finishes (intumescent finishes (which can be fireproof), faux finishes and textured painting, by way of example).
A professional painter will also understand the materials which are required to do the job correctly. Which primer will provide the correct coverage? Oil or latex? Matte, semi-gloss, high gloss? Which primer foundation is required? What paint base? Should the wall be well prepared with drywall compound or plaster? Spray or roller?
A professional painter will be able to recommend materials which are better to get the look you want, while preventing any damage to your surfaces. With this advice, you can attain a greater quality finish that will endure.
For exterior jobs, a specialist will know the right weather, temperature and sunlight conditions to complete the job with all the best outcomes. Stains respond differently in direct sunshine than when it’s overcast, and at different temperatures. While rain clearly affects the job, humidity and heat can also affect the quality of exterior paint finishes.

Security

Climbing on ladders while trying to apply paint correctly is a skilled job which requires careful attention and focus to avoid serious harm and harm. The higher the site which needs painting, the higher the risk for an accident. For inside jobs with large areas or exterior jobs, an expert painter may have all the resources and experience required to perform the work correctly and safely, including the proper dimensions and layout of ladder and scaffolding.

Convenience

Your time is valuable and painting yourself requires a substantial amount of time. Having a professional painter and decorator take care of the work for you can save you days and times of work, and can usually be achieved in a much shorter time period.
A study from Trinity College Dublin suggests that the average Irish man requires 28 hours per day to accomplish all of his or her tasks. Avoid adding a paint job to this and talk to a professional painter about your requirements.
