Knockananna (Irish: Cnoc an Eanaigh, meaning ‘hill of the marsh’) is a village in County Wicklow, Ireland.

Knockananna lies close to the border between County Wicklow and County Carlow. The village is the centre of a dispersed farming area, 2km to the north-west of Moyne and the Wicklow Way. There is a grocery shop and a pub in the village. The village has a GAA team and the club colours are red and white.

Colonel Commandant Tom Kehoe (Free State Forces) was born in the area in 1899. He was a member of Michael Collins’s assassination Squad, which killed a number of British agents on 21 November 1920. Kehoe himself was killed in an engagement in Macroom in September 1922.

Are you considering giving your house or business a new look? Do you need to repaint after a tenant has vacated your own property? Do you have to fix water stains on ceilings and walls or over walls in which mold was removed? It may be tempting to do the job yourself, which can lead to cost savings. But, there are many reasons you should consider hiring a professional painter and decorator support.

Costs of Equipment

Hiring a professional painter and decorator usually means that the painter comes with the tools that they will need to perform the work correctly, will clean those tools up whenever they’re completed and will require them away to be saved elsewhere.

Protection of Your Premises and Avoiding a Mess

A professional painter and decorator will have the right equipment and be knowledgeable and experienced with the way to shield furniture, flooring, cabinets, walkways and other things that you don’t want painted out of any harm. If your work entails staining, a professional will have the right equipment and experience to use the stain correctly to achieve the perfect finish and once achieved, protect that finish.
A professional painter will also completely clean up the work area once the project is completed.

Planning is Essential

A professional painter and painter is going to learn that preparation is the key to a great looking, long lasting paint job. Areas with water or mold staining may require further therapy and patching before they are prepared for a last paint job. It is a lot of work and if it’s not done properly with appropriate tools and methods, it won’t result in an excellent finish.

Skills and Patience

Painting takes patience to produce a gorgeous quality finish and it also takes skill that’s developed with training and experience. A professional will understand how to complete all the preparation and painting jobs involved to reach the best effect.
Back in Dublin, there are a number of options a professional painter and decorator may start to you, which you could not have the skills or expertise to do your self, including special finishes (intumescent finishes (which are fireproof), faux finishes and textured painting, by way of instance ).
A professional painter will also understand the substances which are needed to do the work correctly. Which primer will provide the correct coverage? Oil or latex? Matte, semi-gloss, high gloss? Which primer base is required? What paint base? Roller or spray?
A professional painter will be able to recommend materials that are best to achieve the look you need, while preventing any harm to your surfaces. With this advice, you can attain a higher quality finish that will endure.
For outdoor tasks, a specialist will understand the ideal weather, temperature and sun conditions to complete the job with all the best outcomes. Stains respond differently in direct sunlight than when it is overcast, and at different temperatures. While rain obviously impacts the job, humidity and heat can also affect the quality of outside paint finishes.

Safety

Climbing on ladders while trying to apply paint properly is a skilled job that requires careful focus and attention to prevent severe injury and damage. The greater the site that needs painting, the greater the danger of an accident. For inside projects with high areas or exterior jobs, a professional painter will have all the tools and expertise necessary to perform the job safely and correctly, including the proper size and design of ladder and scaffolding.

Convenience

Your time is precious and painting yourself requires a significant quantity of time. Having a professional painter and decorator take care of the work for you can save you days and days of work, and can normally be achieved in a much shorter period of time.
A study from Trinity College Dublin suggests the average Irish man needs 28 hours per day to accomplish all of his or her tasks. Avoid including a paint job to this and talk to a professional painter about your needs.
