Donacarney (Irish: Domhnach Cearnaigh or Domhnach Cairnigh) is a village in the area known as East Meath in County Meath,Ireland, close to Drogheda and the border with County Louth. It contains one church, two estates, two schools, one pub and the DSE. Although it includes the townlands of Donacarney Great and Donacarney Little, most locals would never use those terms in describing Donacarney. The remains of a late-medieval tower house (see picture to right) is sited close to Donacarney Cross. It is described in the Civil Survey (1654-56) as ‘an ould Castle’. It appears in this state on a map of 1771.
Donacarney contains two schools: One boys school and a girls school. Roughly 600 pupils attend both schools. The schools share the same campus. The name of the school is Réalt ná Mara B.N.S and Réalt ná Mara G.N.S respectively. The Old School Hall replaced by the current schools in 1965 originally opened in 1873. The red-bricked building, beside the forge and old village water-pump at Donacarney cross, now serves as a community centre. It is also used as the local polling centre in elections. The school was given planning permission for a new school in 2012. The school will cost €500,000 to build including land buying. The government though will only pay €100,000. The school has all ready made over €150,000 from a raffle held in March 2008.

Spray Painting Services in Donacarney
Are you considering giving your home or business a new look? Do you need to repaint after a tenant has vacated your own property? Do you need to repair water stains on ceilings and walls or over walls in which mould has been eliminated? It could be tempting to do the task yourself, which can lead to cost savings. However, there are lots of reasons you should consider hiring a professional painter and decorator support.
Prices of Equipment
Proper painting of either interiors or exteriors requires an investment in gear — brushes, rollers, sprayers, tarp to shield surfaces and floors, ladders, scaffolding, sanders, chemical knifes, patching materials, solvents, the list can become long and pricey. Hiring a professional painter and decorator usually means that the painter comes will all the tools that they will need to do the job correctly, will clean those tools up whenever they are done and will require them away to be saved elsewhere.
Protection of Your Property and Preventing a Mess
A professional painter and decorator will have the ideal gear and be educated and knowledgeable about the way to shield furniture, floors, cabinets, walkways and other things which you don’t need painted from any harm. If your work entails staining, an expert will have the right equipment and experience to use the stain properly to achieve the right finish and once achieved, protect the finish. A professional painter will even thoroughly clean up the work area once the project is completed.
Preparation is Key
A professional painter and painter will know that preparation is the trick to a good looking, long lasting paint job. The walls or other surfaces that need to be painted may have to be thoroughly cleaned, patched, degreased and/or primed. Areas with mold or water staining may require further therapy and patching before they are ready for a last paint job. It is a lot of work and if it is not done properly with proper instruments and methods, it will not result in a quality finish.
Skills and Patience
Painting takes patience to generate a beautiful excellent finish and it also takes skill that is developed with training and expertise. A professional will understand how to finish all the preparation and painting jobs required to achieve the best outcome. Back in Dublin, there are a number of choices a professional painter and decorator may open for you, that you may not have the skills or experience to do yourself, including specific finishes (intumescent finishes (that are fireproof), faux finishes and textured painting, by way of example). A professional painter may also understand the substances that are required to do the job right. Which primer will provide the right coverage? Latex or oil? Matte, semi-gloss, high gloss? Which primer foundation is required? What paint base? Should the wall be well prepared with drywall compound or plaster? Roller or spray? A professional painter will have the ability to recommend materials which are better to get the look you need, while avoiding any damage to your surfaces. With that information, you can achieve a greater quality finish that will endure. For outdoor tasks, a professional will know the ideal weather, temperature and sun conditions to finish the job with all the best outcomes. Stains respond differently in direct sunlight than when it is overcast, and at several temperatures. While rain clearly impacts the job, heat and humidity can also affect the quality of exterior paint finishes.
Climbing on ladders while trying to apply paint correctly is a skilled job that takes careful focus and attention to prevent severe injury and harm. The greater the site that requires painting, the greater the danger of an crash. For interior projects with high areas or exterior jobs, a professional painter will have all the tools and expertise necessary to perform the job correctly and safely, including the right size and design of the ladder and scaffolding.
Your time is valuable and painting yourself takes a substantial amount of time. Having a professional painter and decorator take care of the work for you can save you days and days of work, and can normally be achieved in a far shorter time period. A study from Trinity College Dublin indicates that the average Irish man requires 28 hours per day to accomplish all of his or her tasks. Prevent including a paint job into this and talk to a professional painter about your requirements.
