Avoca (Irish: Abhóca, formerly Abhainn Mhór, meaning ‘the great river’) is a small town near Arklow, in County Wicklow, Ireland. It is situated on the River Avoca.

The Avoca area has been associated with its copper mines for many years and the valley has been celebrated by Thomas Moore in the song “The Meeting of the Waters”. The name of the song derives from the meeting of the Avonmore and Avonbeg rivers, about 3 kilometres from the village of Avoca. The song is said to have been written under a tree, the stump of which remains by the Meetings. Avoca is also famous for its handweaving, with Avoca Handweavers based there.

Avoca has been used as a filming location for several films and television series. The BBC series Ballykissangel was filmed there. In 1967, Avoca was one of the locations used in the film Jules Verne’s Rocket to the Moon, and it was the setting for the comedy film Zonad which had a general Irish release in 2010.

The red kite, recently reintroduced to Ireland, is now commonly seen in and around Avoca.

Spray Painting Services in Avoca, County Wicklow

Are you contemplating giving your house or business a fresh look? Do you have to repaint after a tenant has vacated your own property? Do you have to repair water stains on ceilings and walls or over walls where mould was eliminated? It could be tempting to do the task yourself, which can lead to cost savings. However, there are many reasons you should consider selecting a professional painter and decorator support.

Costs of Equipment

Good painting of interiors or exteriors requires an investment in gear — brushes, rollers, sprayers, tarp to shield surfaces and floors, ladders, scaffolding, sanders, chemical knifes, patching materials, solvents, the listing can quickly become long and expensive. Employing a professional painter and decorator means that the painter comes with the tools that they will need to perform the job correctly, will wash those tools up when they’re completed and will take them away to be saved elsewhere.

Protection of Your Premises and Preventing a Mess

A professional painter and decorator will have the ideal equipment and be educated and knowledgeable about how to shield furniture, floors, cabinets, walkways and other things which you don’t want painted out of any harm. If your work involves staining, a professional will have the correct equipment and expertise to apply the stain correctly to achieve the right finish and once achieved, shield that finish.
A professional painter will even thoroughly clean the work area once the job is finished.

Preparation is Key

A professional painter and painter will know that preparation is the key to a great looking, long lasting paint job. Areas with water or mold staining may require further therapy and diluting until they are ready for a final paint job. It is a lot of work and if it’s not done correctly with proper instruments and techniques, it will not result in a quality finish.

Skills and Patience

Painting requires patience to generate a beautiful excellent finish and it also takes skill that is developed with practice and experience. An expert will understand how to finish each of their preparation and painting jobs involved to achieve the best effect.
In Dublin, there are a number of options a professional painter and decorator may open to you, that you may not have the skills or experience to do yourself, including specific finishes (intumescent endings (which can be fireproof), faux finishes and textured painting, by way of example).
A professional painter may also know the substances which are required to do the work correctly. Which primer will offer the right coverage? Latex or oil? Matte, semi-gloss, high gloss? Which primer base is demanded? What paint base? If the wall be prepared with drywall compound or plaster? Spray or roller?
A professional painter will be able to recommend materials which are best to achieve the look you want, while avoiding any damage to your surfaces. With this advice, you can attain a greater quality finish that will endure.
For outdoor tasks, a specialist will know the right weather, temperature and sunlight conditions to complete the job with the best outcomes. Stains respond differently in direct sunshine than when it is overcast, and at different temperatures. While rain obviously affects the job, humidity and heat can also affect the quality of outside paint finishes. A local professional painter will know the right materials to use to make your exterior last as long as possible in Dublin’s climate.

Safety

Increasing on ladders while attempting to apply paint properly is a skilled job that requires careful attention and focus to prevent serious harm and damage. The higher the site which needs painting, the higher the danger of an accident. For interior projects with large areas or outside jobs, a professional painter may have all the tools and experience necessary to perform the job correctly and safely, including the proper dimensions and layout of ladder and scaffolding.

Convenience

Your time is precious and painting yourself takes a significant quantity of time. Using a professional painter and decorator deal with the job for you can save you days and times of work, and can usually be done in a far shorter time period.
A research from Trinity College Dublin indicates that the average Irish man requires 28 hours daily to accomplish all his or her tasks. Prevent adding a paint job into that and talk to a professional painter about your needs.
